Darrious L. Baker

Darrious L. Baker is an attorney with more than 10 years of experience serving in Human Resources (HR) Leadership and Employment Law related roles. He practices in the areas of employment law, corporate law, business transactions, real estate law, and real estate transactions. He practiced as an employment law attorney for the Columbia office of Fisher Phillips LLP, a Nationally Recognized Employment Law Defense Firm based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

He is involved with many professional and community activities which include: serving as the Employer Co-Chair for the American Bar Association, Labor and Employment Law Section’s Membership Development Committee, as well as being a Fellow for the Labor and Employment Law Section.  Darrious also served on Sistercare’s Board of Directors.  He is a member of the Men’s Greeting Ministry for Journey United Methodist Church.  He also serves as a Pop Warner Football Coach.

Prior to law school, he served in HR Leadership roles for a Fortune 100 Company’s global corporate headquarters and one of its largest unionized manufacturing facilities. He participated in union contract negotiations, prepared affirmative action plans, facilitated union grievance meetings, prepared union grievance responses.  Darrious has also held chief HR roles for two school districts.

During law school, Darrious was appointed to serve two terms as the National Law Student Liaison for the Labor and Employment Law Section of the American Bar Association. Some accolades he achieved while pursuing his law degree include being a Dean’s List recipient multiple times, receiving a scholarship for excellence in employment law, and earning CALI awards for Ethical Issues in Criminal Practice and for Technology and the Practice of Law.
